My inspiring collaboration with Sakura Color Products
Mother’s Day is just around the corner, and what better way to express your love and gratitude to your mom than with a handmade greeting card? As an artist, I believe in the importance of sincere and personal gestures, which is why I am thrilled to introduce my collaboration with Sakura Color Products, the renowned brand of watercolors and Micron markers.
Through this collaboration, I had the pleasure of working with my Sakura Color Product brand materials to bring you inspiring ideas for creating your own Mother's Day greeting card.
The article is available in English on the brand's official website titled "Send a Handwritten Card on Mother's Day❤" in the "Inspiration" section.
To create your own greeting card to give to your mom:
1. Plan your artwork
-Study the color palette : Before you begin your illustration, take the time to mix and match colors. This can help you create beautiful gradients that will enhance the visual appeal of your card.
- Outlining the illustration : I use a mechanical pencil to lightly sketch my drawing. This allows me to get more precise lines, which is especially useful when working with watercolors.
2. Bring your design to life
-Color Gradient : Apply watercolor gradient technique to achieve a dazzling visual effect.
-Lovely Message : Write a heartfelt and loving message to your mom using a GELLY ROLL. Add the finishing touches
-Add some sparkle : To give your card an extra touch of magic, add some sparkling stars using a GELLY ROLL to bring your design to life.
The Joy of Handwriting:
Ever since I was young, I’ve had a deep affection for handwriting. I practice daily journaling and regularly send personalized handwritten cards to friends and family for special occasions. Sakura pens make this passion wonderfully easy to achieve. They make it easy to bring handwriting to life through different styles, textures, and shades of color on any surface. I especially love using the GELLY ROLL to create statement titles and highlight important events in my calendar. For smaller texts and detailed sketches, I turn to the Pigma Micron Pens. Their precision is perfect for adding intricate touches.
Sakura's Koi Watercolors:
I received my first set of Koi Sakura 24 Metallic & Fluorescent Watercolours last July from Aayush, and it was the best gift ever. The metallic colours offer the ability to create stunning illustrations with unique, brilliant shades that I have never seen in any other palette I own. The compact and lightweight design of the palette is perfect for adding a touch of magic to my quick sketches, both outdoors and indoors. The watercolours are of exceptional quality, suitable for both advanced and beginner artists. They are incredibly lightweight, and the paint activates easily with just a small amount of water. I am also delighted to have had the chance to try out the 96-colour Koi Studio Watercolour Set, which expands my creative possibilities with an even wider range of colour shades.
I hope these tips inspire you to create a memorable card that conveys your deepest feelings to your mom. Nothing beats a gift made from the heart, and a personalized card.
